Shannon Hicks

I grew up in Nebraska and attended the University of Nebraska where I more deeply encountered the truth of the Catholic faith and the desire to evangelize.  I decided to become a FOCUS Missionary and served as a missionary on college campuses in Nebraska, Chicago, and Connecticut.  I then served in leadership at FOCUS's headquarters in Denver, CO.  After working with FOCUS for 15 years I decided to stay at home with my son, Matthew.  During my time in FOCUS I saw a great need for young people to have access to great spiritual directors as they were learning how to pray and making big life decisions.  In 2021 I started a 2-year spiritual director training program that FOCUS provided, and have been offering direction to young people since then.  I love being able to offer direction free of charge to those who are wanting to pursue direction with me and grow in their relationship with God through prayer.
