The Association of Catholic Coaches and Athletes (ACCA) exists to educate, inspire, and evangelize Catholic coaches and athletes at all levels of sport, from youth leagues to the professional arena. Founded in 2011 by Barry Dean, ACCA was born out of a simple yet powerful initiative, a Mass celebrated at the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) national convention, which sparked a vision to form a nationwide movement integrating faith and athletics.

ACCA is dedicated to deepening the faith of Catholic coaches and equipping them to be spiritual mentors for their players and fellow coaches. Through Masses at national coaching conventions, Catholic coaches conferences, faith based resources, and partnerships with other Catholic sports ministries, ACCA fosters a culture where faith and sports intersect. By strengthening their relationship with Christ and understanding the richness of Catholic teaching, coaches and athletes are empowered to be leaders in their teams, communities, and families, ultimately becoming witnesses to the Gospel through the platform of sports.
